Mountains

Mount Dhaulagiri at 8,167 meters (26,795 ft) above the sea level is the seventh highest mountain in the world. It is located in the northwest of Myagdi District of Nepal. Dhawala means dazzling, white, beautiful and Giri means mountain or peak in Sanskrit. It is part of Dhaulagiri Ranges.

It was first climbed on 13 May, 1960 by Swiss/Austrian/Nepalese expedition.
